Hidekuni

Levin grew up in a seaside town and spent his entire childhood there. Initially, he got raised by a family friend after the passing of his parents. One day, he then got lost in the woods, meeting the young Wood Elf Eval who, from then on, also played a part in taking care of him. At times Levin spent more time with her than with his actual caregiver.
Throughout his childhood, Levin made one close friend, a year older than him, who’s name was Apollo. Both grew up together and spent day and night running through nature and causing mischief in town. "Apollo is what sparked this quiet and shy little guy to become adventurous and loud. Their shared dream was to once become pirates and sail the sea together, no matter what. Yet as they grew up, things changed.

Childhood friends became lovers, very much to the displeasure of Apollo’s father, a merchant and captain of a fleet. And once Apollo came back from the year at sea with his father, he was no longer a ray of sunshine, instead now cold and closed.

Levin held onto their dream, while Apollo slowly gave up on it more and more, knowing he was promised to a noble girl.

Their ways separated once the wedding took place, and heartbroken Levin left the same day. He became a privateer instead and got a ship and crew over the following years.

Eventually Apollo and Levin’s paths would cross again, and the flamboyant twink would act as if nothing ever happened - as if they were nothing but childhood friends. Levin respected Apollo’s decisions and wishes, but knew his man and the fact that he wasn’t happy in the role he had to play. Levin didn’t push anything though. Weeks later they ended up together, and for the following years, Levin took on the role of the secret lover. All he hoped for was to be Apollo’s first choice, just as he was his first love. Regardless, Levin is high maintenance and there were 3 things he loved in life; money, alcohol and sex - and he indulged in all three of those things, only remaining a bit more tame around the times he would meet with Apollo.

Years and years later he would become the adoptive father of Aster/Jophias, Apollo's son. Yet it did not happen because Apollo and him ending up together, but because he found this little guy as an 19 year old bleeding out in the gutter while walking his mastiff Kraken. He brought him onto his boat and nursed him back to health, despite Aster’s frustrations and wish to die. Aster ran away from home, not baring the abusive treatment of his parents, mostly of his father. Levin was aware of the generational trauma, and since he couldn’t get Apollo out of it and help him find his own happiness, he would give it his all to his lover’s son instead, soon being like a father to him.
